LifeGroups at Grace are small groups of believers committed to living together in community to experience Christ and live out Jesus' commands. Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commands." John 14:15
We can summarize His commands in four principles: Upward, Inward, Outward, Forward.
Upward
"Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." Matthew 22:38
Upward represents the relationship we are called to have with God, continually worshiping Him with every aspect of our lives.
Inward
"Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39
Inward represents the love we are to experience together - investing our lives in one another by spending time together, sharing resources, and using our spiritual gifts to build one another up.
Outward
"Go and make disciples of all nations." Matthew 28:19
Outward represents the direction we are to move in obedience to Christ's command to "Go." As witnessing communities we will build friendships, show our love for others by meeting needs in practical ways, and sharing the hope of Christ with those who need Him.
Forward
"Teaching them to obey all I have commanded you." Matthew 28:20
Forward represents the command Jesus gave us to teach and disciple new believers. As intentional disciples, we will disciple others by studying God's Word together, providing mutual accountability as we grow in obedience to Jesus, and spurring one another on to do good works.
